8.7.2026 Been chilling this week, the crows have returned to their regular visits and all is well. 7.28.2026 Very tired today. Getting lots of chickadees, red breasted nuthatches, dark-eyed juncos, and the crow parent and young crow that have been frequenting the patio for the last month or so. Me and my partner awoke to the young crow making begging calls to its parent repeatedly yesterday morning, the sound made it into my dream and in the dream i was trying to understand what it was saying. 7.14.2026 I went tide pooling this morning and it was slippery but sweet. I saw many tidepool snailfish and a few nudibranchs. I heard a loud exhale from the ocean and looked up to see two Humpback(?) whales swimming not far from the coast. The morning was nice though and my friend made bacon and eggs and i drank coffee from my bowl as it was my only liquid carrying vehicle i had brought haha. Late in the night yesterday we found a beautiful green toad on the dock near our campsite. it was the most beautiful toad I've ever seen. it started raining bad and we had to come back home early as it wasnt stopping and the tents were soaking through. I'm grateful i had my one slopey night though and got to meet the toad. 7.1.2026 i had a wonderful morning tide pooling with friends and kind new folks i got to meet at the beach. lots of cool burrowing cucumbers and crabs and beautiful sculpins. it was a nice change to be in a group searching for interesting things as i am usually doing it by myself. i had to leave a little early to go camping but I'm very glad i was able to be a part of the gathering. My friend invited me to go camping the night before today and i scrambled to get my things ready. i was able to do it though and we made it to the campsite in a timely manner. 6.30.2026 I feel pretty tired. i am contemplating leaving my home but the skies are grey and my building elevator is broken. i want to ride my bike but hate carrying its long form down the narrow stairwell. it bumps and bangs with every turn.
