currently: missing the snow back home. thinking about fermenting things. most likely some cabbage (hopefully soon). enjoying my website on the floor. https://hunter.computer/ .................................... APR 6 2025 settling back in after a few weeks back home in Canada. getting everything into place again. always nice to be back in the land of good infrastructure. FEB 23 2025 pondering tools Mostly trying to process trying to feel valid as a person who enjoys making tools in a world in which everyone “vibe codes” their own tools, and if supporting myself this way be invalidated soon enough. • To keep up and been seen as a valid contributor you’re pressured to a new level of productivity. The timelines shrink while expected output remains. Reaching out to a person who enjoys niche x or y explain a concept to you is seen as silly friction… isolating ourselves for the sake of productivity • Do we lose the moments of surprisingly mistakes that happen when either building tools or making them. Does an AI making a mistake feel the same. But in the end I am of course lucky to have friends I can ask about these things, and having more folks feel empowered to build things for themselves is a special thing. Maybe one day it can happen without consuming the power of a small nation.
