5/25/2020 poems with kira: drain fig water asphalt screech baby bird bone uncertain bloom haul them back in stagger out of breath jolt through the road swell baby swell running in legs unsteady baby i’m rumbling know what’s good pavement glimmer eye to pound mind the cracks shoulder to knee body figuring spoiler alert we’re dancing 5/25/2020 i was waiting for someone to praise my sour cream and onion potato salad (no one did.) but soon i was too carried away to notice: the hot dogs with caramelized onions, the watermelon soaking in soju, the early summer peaches. i'm warm and full.
