slice chicken breast, salt & pepper, pan fry, dice, store in big container, this lasts 3 days. OR protein of your choice. cook only enough to use in 3 days, anymore you have to freeze and the texture will never be as good as unfrozen
pour water into pan after cooking chicken, cook the brown bits into a "broth", store in jar and save for sauce, this lasts 3 days
dice big white onion, store in medium container, cook as needed, this lasts longer than a week
mince a bunch of garlic cloves, store in small jar, good for a last minute pivot from rice to pasta
dice peppers, i prefer bell or sweet, OR go spicy peppers, store in small container, cook as needed, this lasts 3-5 days
dice squash, i prefer zucchini, store in small container, cook as needed, this lasts 3-5 days
pre-steam veggies of choice, i prefer green beans, broccoli, asparagus, i choose a different on a week, this lasts 3-7 days
stock up on pre-washed leafy greens, i prefer baby spinach OR self-wash all your leafy greens of choice ahead of time, this lasts 3-7 days
batch cook 3 meals' worth of rice, use the first immediately, store the rest in fridge immediately, this lasts 3 days. if you don't feel like making rice, cook a little pasta instead
