4/1 Today: I saw a wild turkey wander across my building's apartment lot is d. boon's birthday -- 3/31 Here's a list of books I have stacked up next to my computer: -Not Interesting: On the Limits of Criticism in Architecture - Andrew Atwood (about architecture, but really about websites) -Trickster Makes This World: Mischief, Myth, and Art - Lewis Hyde -Acid for the Children - Flea -The Natural - Bernard Malamud (come back, baseball :( ) -High Weirdness: Drugs, Esoterica, and Visionary Experience in the Seventies - Erik Davis Ambitious, but let's see what happens! -- 3/29 Read about: Sherman's Atlanta Campaign, the Whig Party, the Transcontinental Railroad, Blood Meridian, and Deception Island on Wikipedia -- 3/25 Spent a lot of the day watching people on the internet restore old computers and Gameboys, felt a sense of relaxation and accomplishment from doing so Shopped for telescopes - it's overwhelming and someone has something negative to say about each Probably doesn't make much of a difference - the skies here are very light polluted Fussed around with a monocular instead

Currently Visible:

  • Orion (and it's Nebula!)
  • Betelgeuse (Orion's shoulder, and dimming - maybe might possibly could blow up soon or not)
  • Sirius (the dog star, natch)
  • Venus
  • Mercury (early morning!)
  • probably some satellites
