11.22.25 i’ve had a xray today. i’ve seen my bones. my feet twist at the sole and then there’s my bunion. giving me hell. the doctor said it rolls at its peak which is causing me pain. my calves are tight. i need to stretch. i put on wings of desire. “i want to feel something” i told esther. they are in the library now and the whispers are deafening. i wonder, is there an angel looming over my shoulder? does he too have a tiny pony tail? my bed is warm but i am lonely. i shaved my legs and the 5 or so hairs that grow on my big toe in preparation for my appointment today. my x-ray technician was kind. i was having trouble remembering my right foot from my left. it’s been a week and i keep forgetting to stretch. my boyfriend cracks my toes as we watch cape fear.
