I feel like the easiest way for me to describe it would be the generally accepted five love languages—: gifts, affirmation, quality time, acts of service, and physical touch. In-person, these expressions are instinctual, seemingly woven into daily interactions. Sharing glances, an unhurried conversation, the warmth of a hand on your back bearing a weight that doesn’t need a modular translation. Online, my expressions of love take a different shape.
