#aaaaff 28.10.2025 I decided to do something with Special Fish again. I didn’t remember how it works. And now that I use it, I still don’t really know what to do with it.
What I wanted to tell you is that I am trying to get a stepper motor to work. I want to make an interactive clock with real hands. I connected a stepper motor to a raspberry pi computer, and set everything up. I designed a minute and an hour hand, and cut them out with the laser cutter, and then connected them to the stepper motor. Things worked, but not precisely enough, which is confusing: Stepper motors are supposed to be precise. Especially the hour hand moved more or less at random.
It turns our that *somehow* the hand was not attached to the shaft firm enough. So whenever the shaft turned 1.8 degrees, the hand slid slightly, and move less than 1.8 degrees. It took me a while to debug this. Now I have to find a way to firmly attach both hands to their shafts. And then go on with making this clock work.
#ffff21 On the first day I tried Special Fish I wrote this. I assume that I was in Greece. Maybe I thought I was going to write about
I like swimming in the mediterranean and looking at the fish. I get really happy when I spot an octopus. They are hard to spot. They can probably see with their skin! That’s how they manage to completely blend in with their surroundings. When I swim I don’t blend in with my surroundings. The octopus spots me first, that is for sure.
