(₍🌱₎) ╢⚈…◕╟ ❮❝ wishing, praying, dancing for rain 🌧️ ❞❫ ❧ new chapbook for august at @kmnada 🅄🄿🄳🄰🅃🄴🅂 ᗧ···ᗣ···ᗣ··· ▓ logbook:~ $ 19.08.26 • we have friends visiting from guadalajara and aguascalientes this weekend. i will cook food and make cocktails, both things i love to do for friends. next week will be a big celebration in town and i will go to take some photos, dance, and dodge fireworks. ▓ logbook:~ $ 17.08.26 • lovely weekend. finally fixed an issue at my bank that took me 4 years to fix. i can now do regular banking things i have needed to do like transfers and payments. i went to the cantina to celebrate. then went on a tipsy little photowalk. saturday and sunday we stuck close to home to get some work done. i bumped into a friend visiting from chile. was lovely. she had a little get together in her honour yesterday, but i had work to finish around the house and it got too late to head out. next time! ▓ logbook:~ $ 14.08.26 • been picking up the ukulele and jarana a bit more as i wait to save enough money to have my accordion tuned and repaired. it has been nice. i also need to have a peg made for my banjo as my friends son busted the fifth string peg by over tightening it. little punk. while i haven't had much time for music in my life lately, i am trying to put together a short set to play sometime before next year. just little ditties. a few covers (more interpretations really) and a couple of originals. hope y'all are well! back to my coffee and doughnut! ▓ logbook:~ $ 10.08.26 • posted another chapbook over at @kmnada. this was my first bilingual attempt. i wrote it some years back with my now partner's assistance. it is about a town called tlacotalpan which is a very important place for son jarocho. it is a town that holds an important place in my heart and soul. ▓ logbook:~ $ 30.07.26 • working in solar means that summer through fall is extremely busy. it is a time when i can't really find time for vacation. yet, my vacation time is adding up. to ensure i can use all my vacation days this year, i am going to start taking strategic long weekends. this weekend will be the first, and i will take another at the end of august to enjoy the festival of my friends town. this long weekend will focus on a bit of gardening and work around the house. i will also try to get some time in with my friends who work in bars that i usually don't see outside of their workplaces. they typically have sundays and/or mondays off. it will be an excellent chance to catch up. in other news, we are running low on water and haven't had a substantially rainfall since may. i will do a little rain dance and hopefully tláloc will be listening 🤞. ▓ logbook:~ $ 24.07.26 • added a july colour pallet for guelaguetza this year. had a lovely weekend celebrating, eating, drinking, and dancing.
